How to Play
"Win A Million Bananas!"

The game is similar to the TV game show called "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" Just like the TV show, each question has four possible answers. Click the letter of the answer you think is correct. Unfortunately, there is no game show host to ask you, "Is that your final answer?" so think carefully before you click!

There are two "safety" levels; once you've correctly answered the 1,000-banana question or the 32,000-banana question, you can't leave the game with any less. If you miss a question, the game is over and you lose all the bananas you've won since the last safety level. So, if you miss the 64,000-banana question, you'll still have won 32,000 bananas.

If you answer the 1,000-banana question correctly, you'll get two lifelines to use on future questions: "fifty-fifty," and "poll the audience." (Since you're not stuck in a hot seat in a TV studio, you can phone all the friends you like!) In order to save this teacher's sanity and make it possible to bring you this quiz, you may only use one lifeline on any given question. The exception: if you make it all the way to the million-Banana question without using any lifelines, you can use both lifelines if you need to.

The "fifty-fifty" lifeline will remove two of the incorrect responses from the screen, leaving one incorrect answer and the correct response. The further along in the quiz you go, the more likely it will be that the two remaining answers will be very similar.

The "poll the audience" lifeline will show you what the "audience" thinks. Consider the audience a group of educated people. Chances are good that they'll know the answers to all but the most difficult questions. However, the further you go in the quiz, the more difficult the questions will become. There is no guarantee that the audience poll will provide you with the correct answer! Use your best judgment, or your best guess.

After you correctly answer the 32,000-banana question, you have the option of "walking away" at any time and "taking the bananas." You can choose to walk away after you have viewed the question, and even after you have taken a lifeline.

If you like, you can always try the quiz again; but you'll have to start from the beginning!
